THREE THINGS ABOUT ME
1. I can dance en pointe. I’ve done ballet and tap as a hobby since I was three (and am actually getting kinda close to my teaching exams…eek!). Helping out with the younger classes is probably my favourite part because some of the stuff they say is hilarious and I could fill a book with it.
2. Okay so I wasn’t going to screech about this on here, but I really love Marvel films. I’ve just watched Infinity War and obviously I wouldn’t DREAM of spoiling it, but if anyone wants to join my internal monologue consisting solely of “AAAAAHHHHH” on Twitter go ahead.
3. Also (kinda) Marvel related; I’m absolutely awful at binge-watching TV shows. It took me three months to watch Season One of Luke Cage and I’m only five episodes into Iron Fist. (For some context, I started watching it like…mid-March?)
QUESTIONS FROM STEFF
1. You have to live the life of your favorite book character. How do you feel?
…my favourite book character? Oh man I can’t actually choose. I mean, the first person to spring to mind is Nico di Angelo because y’know…he’s Nico and I can’t help but love him. I would definitely NOT want his life; the demigod powers are cool, but the emotional trauma I could do without, thanks.
2. Would you rather only read your favorite book over again and again or never reread anything at all?
I’d probably have to go with never reread at all. I’m not the type to reread even my favourite books; the only book with that privilege is Tiger Lily (and maybe Harry Potter/Percy Jackson).
3. Which was the book that made you fall in love with reading?
There are actually a few for this! The Rainbow Magic series when I was a little kid was what got me into reading in the first place, but it was Malory Towers by Enid Blyton that taught me to really read (as in, it took me a month to read book one and an afternoon to read book 6). The first big(ish) book I ever read was Rose by Holly Webb, which I love to this day.
4. The ideal life for you includes what three things?
– Writing
– Humour
– Decent grades at A level pls and thnx
5. Do you like riddles?
A merchant has a fox, a rabbit, and a head of lettuce and sits on the edge of a river. He has a small raft capable of carrying only himself and one item at a time, but without his supervision, the fox will eat the rabbit, and the rabbit will eat the lettuce. How can he successfully transport all goods from one side of the river to the next without losing the lettuce or rabbit? The dilemma, of course, is true regardless of which side of the river they are on and there is no other way across.
Now this one I’ve seen before, but let’s see if I can remember…
– Take rabbit across
– Row back
– Take fox across
– Row back with rabbit
– Take lettuce across
– Row back
– Take rabbit across
I think that’s it???
MY BEST POST
Honestly, no idea on how to define this one, so we’ll go with my favourite:
Ranking the Retellings – Peter Pan
NOMINATIONS
Norrie @Reading Under the Blankie
Catherine @This is one for the books
Shannon @Spellbound Librarian
Kelly @Another Book in the Wall
QUESTIONS
1) Who is your favourite superhero/supervillain and why?
2) If you could only read retellings of one fairy tale, what would it be?
3) Are you a poetry or prose kind of person?
4) Do you have a favourite fandom? (Alternatively, do you actually like fandoms?)
5) Slightly weird question: What are your feelings on punctuation, especially in poetry?
That’s all for today! Thanks again for the nomination 🙂

Thanks so much for the nomination! I wish I could dance on pointe! My fourteen-year-old sister is a crazy good dancer, and loved pointe. Hahaha. And I’m a huge Marvel fan too, but haven’t seen Infinity War yet! I’m crying because I’m scared I’ll see spoilers every time I turn my head! Lol

No worries! Aw I’m glad your sister likes it (although it can seriously hurt so like…I would not recommend XD) Ahhhh I definitely will not spoil it for you! Hope you enjoy the film as and when!!

Haha, she complains about the pain all the time!!! The amount of blisters she’s gotten has made me so squeamish! Lol

Oh God the blisters are awful, I can sympathize… my cousin literally has to put wool in her shoes to stop them rubbing XD

Love that riddle! It was featured in Death In Paradise and the detective kept getting confused with it, so well done on solving it 😀
I used to do ballet when i was little. It's great that you kept at it! 🙂
